Builds unruly machines and objects. Retinal contentment is satisfied or undone by their ambiguous and precarious condition. Sculptures and installations plunder, mix and freeze-dry the raw talent and playful approach of provincial stunts, study the hyperbolic style of the carousel understood as a possible allegory of performance. Inspired and referencing a context of festivals and country fates, the artists captures these events forging of the most disparate visual-auditory stimuli creating a theater of unique performances. The 'sagresco' environment is par excellence a restless, dusty, unpredictable and dynamic place, in contrast to its subdivision and fragmented and paratactic organisation. Ballroom music and dance of the same name collide with dubious tech-house and hedonistic performances by some of those present, the frenetic noise of a current generator coagulates with the rhythmic puffs coming from the technical-mechanical system of the rides. For fine palates, the powder is mixed with fries and pralined almonds. They are mash-ups that are as crude and goofy as they are sophisticated. Fascinated by this world I have attempted to collect, digest, re-orient and reject these stimuli again. Having experienced (and experiencing) mostly festivals in the lower Padua area, Nicolò Masiero Sgrinzatto draws from the local vocabulary which is instinctive and natural.
