Matteo Messori’s works hybridize pictorial, installations and sculptural language, predominantly blue tones , influenced above all by people and places with which the artist interacts. His research revolves around the concept of Antiforma, born due to a biographical and intimate nature of the artist, afflicted by the congenital defect of the leptin receptor which substantially prevents the perception of satiety by the affected subject. Repurposed into a receptive, almost human, organism without identification and is essential for investigating the changes and characteristics of the human being in an empathic key. A form that changes its body based on the personal experiences that the artist lives transmuting also through studies of a historical period on which he dwells, thus connecting the present with the past. This combination of intentions between the two theories lead him to create, through pictorial installations, a genesis of works imagined not only through ephemeral bodies but also through the force of obsessions. In Messori’s practice, it is precisely a matter of uniting and critically opposing the manifestation of nature with its implicit disappearance or forthcoming cancellation, finding themselves immersed in liquids, fluttering evanescent or being pierced as in a self-generated expiation. The works, like a metaphor, reflect in part the contemporary discomfort - the generally "anti" of humanity - immersed in mistakes either ethical and political.
